Anecdote Alert -Treveen was the excited nine year old who after seeing a family member purchase a special edition Emerald Green 190E Mercedes Benz, declared “I’m going to have an Emerald Pink car when I grow up’ much to the amusement of her family members.

Anecdote Alert -Treveen was the ten year old seventh grader who rushed into the principal’s office to advocate for her colleagues who had just gotten “busted” for transcribing a “boyfriend prayer.” This was viewed a direct attack on the 23rd Psalm in a Christian school but by the time the young advocate was finished – her friends were “released”.

Anecdote Alert -At the age of 28, Treveen recalls sitting in the office of the Managing Partner of a prominent law firm, where the interviewer quipped that insurance lawyers lacked dimension and in that moment she vowed not to allow herself to fall within his stereotypical construct. As to whether he was right or not, every individual has to roll their own dice but Treveen swiftly moved towards creating her own practice and credits him with providing her with the impetus for that defining moment.

Treveen has embraced a principle-centered approach to life. Her commitment to a high ethical standard of professional practice and her passion for service excellence has combined to define the tenor of her legal career to date.

Treveen is 2010 graduate of the Norman Manley Law school and holds a Masters of Law Degree in Corporate and Commercial Law from the University of the West Indies (Cave Hill Campus).

She is a certified Director, Company Secretary and a trained Mediator.

She has also invested a considerable amount of time in being trained in Compliance (AMLFC).  Most recently having completed an intense training course at the Alfred Lok Jack Business School, she now awaits post Covid-19 conditions to sit her final exams and attain her international accreditation in this burgeoning and constantly evolving field of study and practice.

She has spent almost a decade in the general insurance industry and in her most recent corporate posting had oversight over the Legal, Compliance, Human Resource Management and Corporate Secretarial portfolio services whilst simultaneously maintaining a private practice.

Treveen, who recognizes the benefits of combining theory with practice, took the strategic decision to pursue a Corporate and Commercial Masters Degree in 2012 and to start her own legal practice in 2013 that would give her exposure to and develop competencies in several areas of the law, whilst being connected to the corporate world.

This collective experience has created the platform to launch into full time private practice with the ultimate aim of making excellence the minimum standard for every client encounter.
