Maranatha Andrews is the seasonal virtual Magazine produced by the Andrews Memorial Seventh-day Adventist Church District. The Magazine incorporates activities and interests of the Church over an extended period.   The theme for this Magazine therefore invites readers to think of the new norm and to rejoice as indeed so far – we have overcome. Thanks be to God; think of the new norm; this testifies to the fact that – as a Church and as a society and as a world – we have come through trying times.  It tries to capture significant events which are of interest to our various congregants. We hope that everyone – young and old, will find something that is inspiring uplifting or motivating, something that will draw us closer to our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

This year, this timeframe has been dominated, almost singularly by the Covid-19 pandemic. As a result, several articles are dominated by either pandemic or health and wellness issues which affect the family including: Coping with Covid-19, The New Norm? and excerpts from various scenarios put forward by members of the Women’s Ministry and others. The Family also has to be mindful of other health issues including the teeth and the breast.  This edition also highlights relationships – even articles covering other family related aspects like Writing    

As we read these virtual gifts, we realise that we are on the edge of 2021 and looking forward into stepping into 2022. We are not sure what 2022 will bring but we are assured that he who holds the future will be with us to guide, protect and keep us safe. May we continue to read various articles and we pray that the articles in this issue will sustain you and you will return for re-reads. Pray that “When thou goest, it shall lead thee: when thou sleepest it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest it shall talk to thee” (Proverbs 6:22).

And hence we say, Maranatha Andrews!
